Everyone loves to receive packages and parcels, and we
realize that it is a treat for you to send them as well.
However, please realize that the import taxes for those in
Kenya can be quite expensive. Generally, books are not
taxed at customs, but clothing, CD's, DVD's and
electronics may be cost prohibitive for our missionaries to
retrieve. Customs is assessed at the post office, and may
be quite subjective and have very little relevance to the
actual value of the item.
If you have something to send, please let us know to
expect it. There may be someone traveling who could
bring it for you instead of using international mail. Also,
if you are coming to Kenya, please let us know if you have
room to transport such a parcel. Thanks!!
