Our Missionaries

Currently, Planting Faith has 4 full time missionaries in
Kenya.   In addition, we host short term missionaries
and teams to work with us and the local farmers in the
field and marketplace.  If you are interested in exploring
mission opportunities for yourself or your church,
please write us at
missions@plantingfaith.org.  We would
love to help you explore the possibilities.

Horace and Anne Tipton moved to Kenya in January
2005 with their two children from Memphis, Tennessee.
They lived in Thika for the first year and have since
relocated to Nairobi due to schooling opportunities for
their children.
With a background in agriculture as both a farmer
and experience in agribusiness, Horace takes practical
knowledge to the field in his work with farmers.  Early in
the ministry, it became evident that discipleship would
be a key component of the work he was to do in Kenya,
and regular discipleship opportunities are built into the
work with farmer groups.

Michael and Rebecca Rhodes moved to Kenya in January
2009 as interns with Planting Faith following their
graduation from Covenant College.  Michael's studies at
Covenant focused on international development, and he
has provided useful knowledge to help Planting Faith
grow with new groups.
